자존심

그는 자존심이 짓밟히는 말을 듣고도
웃으며 자신을 살짝 더 짓누른다.
짓밟고 있는 이가 친구라 그러는 것이다.

하지만
나 또한 그 짓밟힘에 억매어있고,,,,

아무것도 아닌 존재라는 것에서 발버둥치며 사는 나는
그와 나 그리고 그들의 관계를 따져보기 이전에
상처를 입는다.
나도 웃어본다. 피식~

오래전,,
사랑 앞에 자존심을 버렸었다.
얼마후 사랑은 떠났다.

버려진채 남겨진 자존심,,,
이제 가진거라곤 주워온 자존심 뿐이다.
